Larry L. Dougherty, 82, of St. Clairsville, OH passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.  He was born September 7, 1939, in Barnesville, OH., a son of the late Cyril and Grayce Kemp Dougherty.

Larry received his bachelor's degree from Ohio University and his master's degree in School Administration from West Virginia University.  He was a former schoolteacher, coach and school administrator at St. Clairsville High School.  He served three years at the Ohio State Department of Education Field Services Division and retired from Bellaire High School as Administrator.  Larry was a past member of the Jaycees, member of East Richland Evangelical Friends Church and loved wildlife, animals, Cleveland Browns and Indians.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Schafer; a niece, Cindy Artrip; a stepdaughter, Michelle Lesh; brother-in-law, Paul Schafer.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Lou Mac Pherson Dougherty of St. Clairsville; his children, Paula Sue (Tom) Kennon of Westerville, OH, Scott Alan (Brenda) Dougherty of Hilliard, OH; four grandsons, Connor, Daniel, Owen Dougherty and Chase Kennon; a sister-in-law, Barbara Mac Pherson of North Olmstead, OH.

Family and Friends will be received on Sunday from 1 pm until time of service at 3 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Rev. Terry Lucarelli officiating.  Burial in Ebenezer Cemetery, Bethesda, OH at the convenience of the family.
