Kurt Lane McGilton, 53, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Halifax Health Medical Center, Daytona Beach, Florida. He was born June 20, 1973, in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of the late Laverne “Tex” and Emily Joan Ellen Palmer McGilton.

Kurt was the General Manager at Southern Tire Mart in Florida. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Palm Coast, Florida. He was the lead singer of the South Bound Express Band. He was a member of the former Glencoe Fire Department. He was an avid gun collector and loved to participate in all motorsports.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Rhonda Ann Showalter McGilton; children, Gage (Alexandra) Lucas, of Shadyside, Ohio, Payden (RandiJo) Lucas, of Jacobsburg, Ohio, Lane McGilton of Palm Coast, Florida, and Emily (Angelo) Solazzo of Palm Coast, Florida; three grandchildren, Leia, Atlas and Noelle; two brothers, Kevin Wayne (Misty) McGilton of Stewartsville, Ohio, Phillip Keith (Lori) McGilton of Alabama; and sister, Deborah Kay (Kerry) Duke of Mesquite, Texas; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Donnie Klink officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
