Kenneth R. Huntsman Sr., 85, of Lloydsville, Ohio passed peacefully surrounded by his loving family on September 15, 2017 in East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.

He was born in Shepherdstown, Ohio on May 17, 1932, a son of the late Clyde C. and Grace E. Weir Huntsman.

Ken was a retired heavy equipment operator from United Mine Workers Construction and former employment included Consolidation Coal Co. and Wyandot Dolomite Inc. He was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War; a life member of the VFW Post 5356; a member of the American Legion Post 159 both in St. Clairsville; and a member of Lloydsville United Methodist Church. Kenneth was a loving husband, father and grandfather who could always be found in his yard or on his Kubota tractor, meticulously tending to his property.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Brad J. Huntsman and a sister, Bernice Jesalosky.

Surviving are his loving wife of 65 years, Donna R. Mort Huntsman; two sons, Kenneth (Paula) Huntsman of Columbus, Ohio and Terry (Susan) Huntsman of St. Clairsville; a granddaughter, Kendra White of Columbus; and two sisters, Marie Dean of Flushing and Gladys Lewis of Virginia.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial with full military honors by Belmont County Veterans Association will be held in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove. Arrangements entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
