Kenneth D. Holmes, 72, of St. Clairsville, OH died Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at his home.  He was born November 27, 1948 in Bellaire, OH., a son of the late Joseph W. and Marjorie I. Holloway Holmes.

Ken was retired from the former Ormet Corporation having worked for 48 years.  Ken was a Methodist by faith and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Holcomb; a nephew, George Knuth.

Surviving are his wife, Joy Herrlein Holmes of St. Clairsville; two sons, Evan (Janae) Holmes of New Orleans, LA., Ryan (Haygen Mowder) Holmes of St. Clairsville; siblings, Mary Lou (Rich) Silverio of Shadyside, OH., Nancy (Ron) Kaluger of Springfield, OH., Jim (Beverly) Holmes of Shadyside and Joe (Ardeth Knuth) Holmes of Bellaire; grandchildren, Alexander Holmes, Caroline Holmes and Rory Ann Holmes; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Cooper.

Friends will be received on Monday from 1pm until time of service at 3 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Rev. Terry Lucarelli officiating.  Full military honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association.
