Kenneth Paul Joseph Brendel, 66 of Johnet Dr., St.Clairsville died Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry. He was born October 5, 1936 in Cincinnati. A son of the late Herman Stephen Brendel and Gertrude Elizabeth Nuesse Brendel.

He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel?s Steubenville Plant, a member of St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Wolfhurst, and a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Surviving are his beloved wife and best friend, Jenny Busby Brendel; a son, Kevin Patrick Brendel and his wife Patricia of Manassas Park, Virginia; two sisters, Joan Johns of Cincinnati and Lois Duwel of Indianapolis, IN.; two grandchildren, Kyle Paul Brendel and Kelly Patricia Brendel.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St.Clairsville on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph?s Church in Wolfhurst with Monsignor Mark Froehlich the celebrant. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens at Pleasant Grove.
