Colin Kelly Duncan, 81, of Shadyside, Ohio, died Friday, June 9, 2023, in Wheeling Hospital.
He was born May 7, 1942, in Shadyside, Ohio, a son of the late Oscar and Wilhelmina Brooks Duncan.
Kelly was retired from Navistar in Springfield, Ohio and International Harvester in Shadyside and was an independent semi truck owner and driver. Kelly was a proud U. S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Shadyside American Legion Post #521 and a member of Shadyside Lodge #724 F. & A.M, and a lifelong member of Old Wegee Methodist Church where he served as a trustee and on several committees through the years. Kelly's three grandsons were his pride and joy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas, Donald and John Duncan; a sister, Janice Crozier; an aunt, Mildred Brooks Richner.
Kelly is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Edna Smith Duncan; a son, Chad (Terri Ann) Duncan; a daughter, Courtney (Jeremy) Piergallini; 4 grandchildren, Danelle and Chase Duncan and Aaron and Nicholas Piergallini; and 3 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, James "Buck" (Nancy) Duncan, Roger and Jerry Duncan; and a sister, Carolyn McFeely; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, with Masonic Funeral Services held at 7:30 p.m. followed by Full Military Honors conducted by the American Legion.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Old Wegee Methodist Church, 54999 Cash Ridge Rd, Shadyside, Ohio, with Rev. Larry Helms officiating. The burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
