Kathleen Ann Street, 70, of St. Clairsville, died February 18, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born April 28, 1947 in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late John Patrick Coyne and Polly A. Ennis.
Kathy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who enjoyed music, minstrels, singing and Karaoke and was a garage sale extraordinaire. She was a retired Registered Nurse from East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry where she had been instrumental in starting The Birthplace and had previously worked for Hunt Memorial Hospital in Danvers, Massachusetts. Kathy was the former owner and operator of Kid's Street Daycare in St. Clairsville and Hide-Away Ceramics. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Neffs where she served as a cantor.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Chris Coyne and two nephews, Scott Coyne and Donny Blum.
Surviving are her husband, Bill Street; three children, Kristin (Chip) Atkinson, Mark Smerczynski and Brian (Launa) Smerczynski; two stepchildren, Brian (Kathy) Street and Julie (Bill) Kerns; four grandchildren, Josh and Jadelyn Smerczynski, Lucas and Kaitlyn Smerczynski; two step grandchildren, Emily and Cody Street; four brothers and three sisters, Mike (Rose Anna) Coyne, John Coyne, Pat (Mary) Coyne, Polly (Don) Blum, Pam (Kenny) Knox, Marty (Angela) Coyne and Maureen (Rich) Rabazinski; many nieces and nephews and her furry friend, Quincy.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6–8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with a vigil service at 7:45 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Neffs on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Father Dan Heusel as celebrant. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
