Obituary

Kathy J. Shutler, 50 of St. Clairsville, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend died Thursday, March 16, 2006 at Wheeling Hospital.

She was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania October 17, 1955 a daughter of Loretta Metcalf Koballa and the late Thomas Koballa.

Kathy was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School and the Ohio Valley School of Nursing. She received her B.S. degree from Ohio University and her M.S. degree from West Virginia University. She was a registered nursing instructor at Belmont Technical College, a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church at St. Clairsville and the Miracle of Life Support Group.

She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Koballa.

She is survived by her husband Kevin Shutler; her children Christopher (Anne) Shutler of Chicago, Illinois; Andrea (Jeremy) Schafer of Cambridge, Ohio and David Shutler of the home; her mother Loretta Metcalf Koballa of St. Clairsville; her brother Thomas (Nancy) Koballa of St. Louis, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Mary?s Catholic Church, St. Clairsville with Father Thomas Chillog and Father Christopher Foxhoven as concelebrants. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling.
