Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Parish, 71, of New Athens, Ohio passed away on October 16, 2020 at her home. She was born April 19, 1949, a daughter of the late John and Hazel Keiger Dyson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Dyson.

Kathy graduated from Bridgeport High School in 1967. She was the former owner and operator of Hometown Carryout in New Athens, Ohio.

Surviving are her husband, William Parish; two children, Brian (Amanda) Miller of New Athens and Lori (Patrick) Kovacs of Flushing, Ohio; four grandchildren whom she adored, Kaden Miller, Talon Miller, Sami Kovacs and Colin Kovacs; four brothers, John (Kathie) Dyson of Beaumont, California, Harold Dyson and Bob Dyson both of St. Clairsville, Ron Dyson of Blaine, Ohio; four sisters, Dorothy Goga and Velma (Randall) Crumpler both of St. Clairsville, Thelma Williams and Shirley Heath both of Colerain, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Irene Dyson, JoAnne Cirincione, Charlene Sexton and Betty Parish; several nieces and nephews.

According to Kathy's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.

Kathy's love of books was known by many. One of her favorite places was the library. Memorial contributions may be made to Puskarich Public Library, 200 E. Market St., Cadiz, OH 43907.
