Kathryn L. Kozlowski, 85, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died peacefully on May 4, 2020, at Forest Hill Care Center, surrounded by her family.

She was born July 21, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio a daughter of the late William Aloys Makofsky and Helen Sarah Kennedy Makofsky.

Kathryn was a retired office manager from St. Clair Oil Co. She was a 1952 graduate of Bellaire High School, a member of Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church in Shadyside, Ohio, and was an active member of the St. Clairsville Senior Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley R. Kozlowski, a brother, William Makofsky and a sister, Beverly Hess.

Surviving are her four children, Susan L. Kozlowski, Sandra L. (Adam) Nicholoff, Stanley L. Kozlowski and Richard A. Kozlowski; a brother, Robert E. Makofsky; five grandchildren, Molly (Tyler) Fluharty, Maggy Kozlowski, Sam and Nick Nicholoff, Casey Kozlowski a great-grandson, Myles Fluharty, and several nieces and nephews.

Kathryn valued relationships more than anything else in life.  Her husband, children, grandchildren and extended family and friends meant everything to her.  Later in life she also cherished the great friends she made while attending the St.C. Senior Center.  Kathryn was an avid Cleveland Indians fan who rarely missed a game on TV or radio.  Over the years Kathryn loved spending time with family and friends around the card table, usually playing euchre, Scrabble and "31".

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, private services will be held at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Pastor Randy Weaver officiating and burial in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lincoln Avenue United Methodist Church or the St. Clairsville Senior Center.
