Karl Martin Sikole Sr., 74, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died January 5, 2022, in Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

He was born February 24, 1947, in Maynard, Ohio, a son of the late John Joseph Sikole and Julia Ann Smigiel Sikole.

Karl was a retired miner from Windsor Coal Company and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member and former Deacon of the St. Clairsville Church of Christ. As an outdoor enthusiast, he was an avid hunter, fisherman, and trapper. He had a record Ohio Big Buck and was a member of the Trappers Association.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Linda Sikole, and a special nephew, Harry Scott Jr.

Karl is survived by his loving wife, Mary "Gidget" Palmer Sikole; his two children, Karl Martin (Janice) Sikole Jr. and Melissa Ann Sikole; five grandchildren, Joshua (Kaylee) Loy, Brianna Loy and her fiancée, Nick Schramm, Michael Price, Natali (Anthony) Angelone, and Ashley (Clay) Huter; six great grandchildren; and his five siblings, John (Jeanne) Sikole, Jane (Scotty) Scott, Michael Sikole, Elaine (Steve) Solar, and Patty (Pat) Halloran; nieces and nephews.

Honoring Karl's wishes there will be no services.  Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
