Karen Lynn Grant Henes, 59, of Powhatan Point, Ohio died May 16, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born October 17, 1959 in Downey, California, a daughter of the late Thomas O. Grant and Elinor J. Baker Grant.

Karen was a former employee of Wheeling Hospital. She was a member of Steel Valley Search and Rescue Team and loved all animals.

She is survived by her husband, John Albert Henes; two children, Jennifer (Dave) Dumolt and Anthony (Jesica) Henes; a brother, Thomas J. (Penny) Grant; two sisters, Debra (Dennis) Wines and Andreanna Screen; 13 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Wayne Clark officiating.  Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or any Animal Shelter and Rescue.
