Karen Dawn Dunfee, 70, of Flushing, Ohio died Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Valley Hospice's Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.
She was born January, 29, 1947 in Bellaire, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harold Underwood and Betty Steele Underwood Miller.
Karen was retired from Union Local Schools where she served as assistant to the treasurer and Board of Education member.
She was a devout member of the Church of Christ in Belmont, OH, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and best friend.
She loved attending ball games or any other sport her children or grandchildren were involved in, she enjoyed vacationing at the beach and spending time with her family. "She Loved Taking Care of Her Family."
Karen is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 50 years, Philip E. Dunfee; a son, David (Joy) Dunfee of Flushing; a daughter, Kristen (Mike) Higgenbotham of Belmont; 3 grandsons, Matthew and Jacob Dunfee, and Dylan Higgenbotham; a sister, Dana (Ray) Ramsay of Belmont.
Friends and family will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial follows in Jacobsburg Cemetery, Jacobsburg, Ohio.
