Obituary

Kalman Sabo, age 84, of Maynard, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at Forest Hill Nursing Home in St. Clairsville.

He was born June 21, 1920 at Maynard, Ohio, son of the late Kalman and Julia Kovach Sabo.

Kalman was a retired employee from Consolidation Coal Company. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II; a member of Maynard United Methodist Church; a member of the Saints Club in St. Clairsville; the UMW Local # 1360; a member of the American Legion Post #666 at Maynard and the Maynard Sportsman?s Club.

In addition to his parents, Kalman was preceded in death by five brothers, Frank, Joe, Bill, Louis and Ernie Sabo.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Mildred L. Soukup Sabo; a son, Bob Sabo and his wife Carole of St. Clairsville; and two very special grandchildren that were his pride and joy, Julie and Justin Sabo.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Friday, Mar. 4, 2005, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Judith Young officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville, Ohio.

Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct Full Military Honors on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Maynard United Methodist Church or the Maynard Community Volunteer Fire Department.
