SNEDEKER, Junior E., 85, of St. Clairsville, died Monday, December 16, 2013 at Emerald Pointe Care Center in Barnesville.
He was born September 6, 1928 in Glen Dale, West Virginia son of the late Elmer Snedeker and Edna Virginia Trenter Snedeker Sayre.
Junior was retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy's Brilliant Plant. He was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville; he was very active and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his companion Carol.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Sayre Snedeker; step-father, Bearl Sayre and step-mother, Ethel Snedeker.
Surviving are his son, Leonard (Liz) Snedeker of St. Clairsville; his companion, Carol Groves of Barnesville; a grandson, Scott Snedeker; a great granddaughter, Linda Snedeker and her fiancée, Brian Bailey; a great great granddaughter, Chloe Bailey; a sister, Noreen (Jerry) Hedrick of Moundsville, WVa.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Erica Harley officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
