Julie Renee Kovacs Reed, 45, of Flushing, Ohio, died March 13, 2024, in Liza's Place, Wheeling, WV.

She was born February 21, 1979, in Wheeling, a daughter of Joyce "Toni" Helt Kovacs and the late John "Buddy" Kovacs.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Gates Reed.

Julie was a resident aide at Beacon House in St. Clairsville. She was a 1997 graduate of Union Local High School and a Flushing VFD Auxiliary member. Julie's life revolved around her two children and family.

Julie is survived by her mother, Toni (Roger Bertelli) Kovacs, two children, Steven Reed and Rachael Reed; a brother, Jeff Kovacs; a sister, Lori (Tim) Mann; nieces and nephews, Timothy (Ashley) Mann, Dale Mann, Craig Mann, Travis (Madie) Mann, Kaitlyn Kovacs and J.D. Kovacs; great nieces and nephews, Dani, Aubri, Brody, Lyndi and Payton; sister-in-law, Audrey Kovacs; and a special friend, Beverly Morgan.

Family and friends are invited to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio, on March 23, 2024 at 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Kris Bright officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
