January 7, 1947 – October 13, 2021
Judith M. Perigloisi, 74, of Bellaire, Ohio, passed away October 13, 2021, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Judith was born in Jacobsburg, Ohio, daughter of the late James Morris Grant and Fredericka Ann Fulst Grant Coen.
Judy worked for many years in the food and beverage industry in the Ohio Valley and later in Columbus, Ohio. She had an appreciation for the gifts God has given us. She took time to watch birds and other wildlife and to enjoy a pretty sunset. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and being outdoors. She was a wonderful cook, making favorite recipes for her family. She had a soft spot for stray cats and dogs, always offering a meal or help, if needed. Many strays became cherished family members. Judy loved spending time with her immediate and extended family, especially her great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, William Jacob Coen, and brothers: James, William, Thomas, Peter, David, Robert, Charles and Paul Grant; sisters: Mary Boston, Thelma Barton and Cora McKeag; half-siblings: John Grant, Loretta Grant, Clara Fulst, Josephine Jackson, Anna Mae Fisher, Ethel "Eileen" McConnell, Nellie Bell and Amanda "Betty" Snyder. Judy's pets that crossed the Rainbow Bridge prior include: Murphy, Snoopy, Bootsie, Dixie, Jenny, Patches and Puppy.
She is survived by her best friend and only child, Kathy (Dave) Miller, grandson, Joseph Miller and great-grandchildren: Nevaeh Banaszek, Julian Miller and Kameron "Kam" Miller, all of Warsaw, Indiana; sister: Rossie Vaughn Barr of Shadyside and many close nieces and nephews. The whereabouts of sister, Katherine Koogenrich, is unknown.
Due to COVID-19, social distancing and masks are required.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 11 a.m., with Father Dan Heusel officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Colerain.
Judy loved flowers; however, memorial contributions may also be made to Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, Warsaw, IN, or Belmont County Cat Stray Shun, Morristown, OH.
