Judith Kay "Judy" Russell Beckowitz, 70 of West Palm Beach, Florida, formerly of Morristown, Ohio died Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Windsor Court Nursing Home in West Palm Beach, Florida.
She was born November 13, 1946 in Morristown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harry Gail Russell and Mildred Helena Bennett Russell.
Judy was the co-owner with her late husband of the former R.P. Beckowitz Trucking Company that operated for 23 years in Morristown, Ohio; creator and original owner and operator of Ladies & Gents Styling Salon in Bethesda, Ohio; and a retired Registered Nurse from Wellington Regional Hospital in Wellington, Florida.
She was a Christian by faith, a founding member of the Morristown VFD Ladies Auxiliary, and a life member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Beckowitz.
Surviving are her sons, John Spencer (Kristin) Beckowitz of West Palm Beach, FL, and Shawn Robert (Andrea) Beckowitz of Stuart, FL; four grandchildren, Kyleigh Beckowitz, Kayden Beckowitz, Amanda Beckowitz, and Haley Beckowitz.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. with Wayne Clark officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, Morristown, Ohio.
