Obituary

Juanita Henrietta Catlipp Vincent, 96, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, at her home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on February 20, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Juanita was born in Gallagher, West Virginia on April 15th, 1919 to the late Herbert Henry Catlipp, Sr. and Ernestine Megginson Catlipp.

Juanita graduated from St. Clairsville High School during the depression years, 1937, and excelled in all academic subjects. Juanita married Joseph John Vincent, and to their union was born three beautiful children, Shirley Ann Vincent Brown, Larry Lamont Vincent, and Madelyn Louise Vincent Freeman.

In 1956, Juanita became a member of Shiloh Temple Apostolic Church, Bridgeport OH. She held several auxiliary offices including secretary and treasurer, and was instrumental to the development of the Women's Missionary. Additionally, Juanita was a member of the Ohio District Council of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc. Finally, Juanita and her daughters were members of the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, and she was also an active Girl Scout Leader in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was proceeded in death by her husband, Joseph John Vincent, Jr.; two brothers, Herbert (Buster) Henry Catlipp Jr., and Calvin C. Catlipp; a son, Joseph Lamont Vincent; two son-in-laws, James Dixon Brown and James Harold Freeman Sr.; two grandsons, James Michael Brown, and Keith Lamont Brown; one granddaughter, Cassandra Marie Vincent Alexander.

Juanita is survived by her two daughters ShirleyVincent Brown, St. Clairsville, Ohio and Madelyn Vincent Freeman, Martins Ferry, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Carol Johnson Vincent, St. Clairsville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Christine Catlipp, Columbus, Ohio; a nephew, Robert (Butch) E. Streets, Hampton,Virginia; a niece, Paula Cosby (Keith), Dayton, Ohio; first cousin, Maxine Jenkins, Sewickley, PA; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; several great-nieces; cousins; and a host of extended family and friends.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 26th, from 2p.m. – 8p.m. at Toothman Funeral Homes, 141 S. Marietta Street, St. Clairsville, Ohio. Home-Going Services will be officiated on Saturday, February 27th at 11a.m. at Shiloh Temple Apostolic Church, 117 1st Street, Bridgeport, Ohio, Elder Tyron Spencer.
