Juanita Kathryn Day, 92 of Cash Ridge Rd., Shadyside, Ohio died Monday, March 9, 2009 at Shadyside Care Center.

She was born February 5, 1917 in Detroit, Michigan, a daughter of the late William Allen Jones and Selma Burkhart Jones.

Juanita was a member of the Old Wegee United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and Shadyside Chapter #581 Order of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Meek Day in 1998; a sister, Ursula Mackeny.

Surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Donald) McPherson of Shadyside, and Carolyn Lee Day of Bothell, Washington; three grandchildren, Shari (Charles) Taylor of Bellaire, Denise (David) Neavin of Shadyside, and Jonathan McPherson of Shadyside; seven great grandchildren, Ashley, Chelsey, and Jaymes Taylor, David and Sarah Neavin, Hunter and Amanda McPherson.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Old Wegee United Methodist Church, Cash Ridge Rd., Shadyside, Ohio with Pastor Larry Helms and Rev. Theresa Bobot officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Wegee United Methodist Church.

Shadyside Chapter # 581 O.E.S. will conduct services at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
