Joy Kinkade Roberts, age 91, went home to the Lord on February 10th 2024. Joy passed peacefully in her sleep with her granddaughter Kayla holding her hand.

Joy was born in Shadyside, Ohio on July 22, 1932, the only child of Robert and Olive Barnes. She was preceded to Heaven by her husband Robert 'Bob' Kinkade in 1973, and her husband Calvin 'Babe' Roberts in 2008. Joy was a Christian by faith and loved her framed picture of a laughing Jesus.

Joy was an independent, feisty (and somewhat stubborn) woman who never gave up on whatever it was that she wanted to accomplish. She loved her children and her 'Farm' best of all. Joy was an avid quilter who made many quilts for whomever she thought would be comforted by one. Those quilts continue to be cherished by their recipients. She was also an accomplished painter, and collector of antiques. She loved to decorate her house and had been accused on occasion of repainting the walls of her house so many times that it might collapse under the weight of it all.

Joy leaves on this earth her five children and their spouses – Dana and Bob Fularz, Chris and Sherry Kinkade, Shawn and Stuart Miller, Jim and Sandy Kinkade, and Suzanne and Michael Perks. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren – Reb, Kayla, Jordan, Lucas, Meghan, Sam, Frank and Landon were always in her thoughts and in her heart.

Her children would also like to extend heart felt appreciation to Joy's granddaughter Kayla for all of her care these last years which allowed Joy to remain in the home that she loved until the last.

The family will have a Celebration of Life service for Joy in the Spring as that was her favorite season.
