Josephine Helen Bonnette, 85, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died February 9, 2025, in Belmont Manor Nursing Home.

She was born March 14, 1939, in Fairmont, West Virginia, a daughter of Joseph Swarnovich and Margaret Savitch Swarnovich.

Josephine was a graduate of Moundsville High School. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had a strong Christian faith. Her artistic ability was amazing, sketching and painting amazing scenes. Josephine enjoyed gardening and tending to her plants and flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Bonnette; a son, John "Rusty" Bonnette; and three sisters, Helen Slegr, Mary Glick and Kay Fulayter.

Josephine is survived by six sons, Thomas "Tom" (Shirley) Bonnette, Ronald "Ron" Bonnette, Theodore "Ted" Bonnette, James "Tony" Bonnette, Robert "Mike" Bonnette, and David "Tim" Bonnette; nine grandchildren, Chase, Anthony, Bryce, Misty, Amanda, Jennifer, Josie, Rachel and Gavin; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
