Joseph Truchan, 71 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born October 28, 1935 in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son of the late Frank Truchan and Victoria Jaskowiak Truchan.
Joe was a coal miner and heavy equipment operator for 53 years. He was currently employed by Cravat Coal Company, a Catholic and NRA member.
Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Doris Sykora Truchan; three sons, Joseph A. (Gigi) Truchan of Warren, Ohio, James A. Truchan of Bridgeport, Ohio, and Jeffrey A. Truchan of St. Clairsville, Ohio; brothers, Frank Truchan of Elmira, Michigan, Leonard Truchan and Chester Truchan of St. Clairsville, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jesse, Jamie, and Vanessa Truchan.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 1 to 3 & 5 to 9 p.m. where services will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Monsignor George Coyne officiating. Burial follows in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, Ohio.
