Joseph M. Sadowski, 73, of Shadyside, OH went home to be with The Lord on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV. He passed due to complications from COVID-19.
Joe was born on July 24, 1947 in Bellaire, OH. He was the son of the late Pete "Big Pete" and Dorothy Turkoly Sadowski.
He was a 1965 graduate of Bellaire High School. Joe was a self-employed contractor who used his expertise in painting, building, remodeling, and general contracting work. He was a U.S. Army Reserve Veteran and a member of the SNPJ lodge. He was a founding member of New Life Fellowship Church where he served as an Elder for many years. He was one of the main contractors that built their current church building.
Joe was a strong Christian who loved Jesus, his family, church family, and friends. He loved spending time with his family and church family. He enjoyed eating, cracking jokes, fellowship with friends and helping anyone he could. He was a Godly man of integrity who was selfless, loving, patient, kind, honest and hard working. He was a surrogate father, brother, uncle to many people. Joe was also an avid Shadyside Tiger sports fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother John Sadowski.
Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Haswell Sadowski, children, Denise (Brad) Bell and Todd Sadowski, granddaughter Ashton Bell - his pride and joy, his sister Delores (Martin) Vale, his brother George (Tricia) Sadowski, several nieces, nephews, in laws, cousins and friends. Also surviving are his beloved dogs, Brandi and Toby.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, private services will be held by the family at New Life Fellowship church with Pastor Joel Traylor officiating. Burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
A public Celebration of Life service will be held at the church at a later date to be announced.
