Joseph Oboy, 89, of Maynard, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, Ohio.  Joe was born April 30, 1935 in St. Clairsville, Ohio, a son of the late Walter and Sophia Vicker Oboy.

Joe was a retired coal miner having worked for Consol Energy for many years and proudly served in the U.S. Army.  Joe was a member of Maynard PNA Lodge 455, Fairpoint Polish Club and the American Legion Post 159 in St. Clairsville.  He was a lifelong member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Maynard.  Joe had many friends and didn't know a stranger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Yudasz, Geneva Piwkowski, Irene Balog, Ann Luginskie, Olga Lukacsko, Anthony "Tony" Oboy, John Oboy and Edward Oboy.

Surviving are his daughter, Tracy J. Oboy of Maynard; a sister, Stella Zavacky of Midway, Ohio; two grandchildren.

As per his request, no visitation or services will be held.
