Joseph Francis "Moe" Mozena, 91 of Orchard Lane, St. Clairsville, Ohio formerly of Piedmont Lake died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born August 27, 1917 in Hannibal, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph Franklin Mozena and Myrtle Isabelle Suter Mozena.
Moe was a loving husband and father, a retired employee of Wheeling Machine Products, a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, Ohio Lodge No. 1 AF&AM, Hazen Lodge No. 251 F&AM, and the Ohio Society of the Son?s of the American Revolution? Ebenezer Zane Chapter. He enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and genealogy.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Sue Sweeny; a brother, Harold B. Mozena.
Surviving are his wife, Merle Catherine Henthorn Mozena; two children, Donna (Jim) Lallone and Mike (Becky) Mozena both of St. Clairsville; six grandchildren, Todd Sweeny, Chris (Gina) Bryan, Marty (Monica) Sweeny, Cody (Allison Conklin) Mozena, Ashley and David Lallone; great grandchildren, Brandon, Brittany, Brooke, Tori, Adrianne, and Jayden Bryan, Coren and Cooper Sweeny; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating. Burial follows in Harter Cemetery, Hannibal, Ohio.
Hazen Lodge will conduct Masonic Services at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
