Joseph George "Joe" Kacsmar, 87, of Maynard, Ohio, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center in Cambridge, Ohio.

He was born in Maynard, Ohio on June 25, 1929, son of the late John and Mary Kasarda Kacsmar.

Joe retired from Ohio Ferro Alloy in Powhatan Point. He was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard and attended St. Frances Cabrini Church in Colerain. Joe was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and member of the American Legion Post 52 in Bellaire.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lifelong companion, Pat Riley; a brother, John Kacsmar; a sister, Johanna Marie Molnar and a great niece, Kara Noel Molnar.

Surviving are his nephew, Dennis Molnar; and great nephew, C. Michael Molnar.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Colerain at 10 a.m., with Monsignor John Kolesar the celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Blaine.

Full Military Honors will be conducted by the Belmont County Veterans Association in the cemetery.
