Joni Lea Kyer, 53, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died August 3, 2017 at the Kobacker House in Columbus. She was born November 12, 1963 in Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, daughter of the late John Louis Gorby and A. Ginger Pearl Gorby. Joni was a self-employed business manager of multiple businesses in kiosks at the Ohio Valley Mall. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed reading, crochet and knitting. Joni is survived by her husband, Larry W. Kyer; eight children, Jade, Krystle, Logan, Izik, Daniel, Kiya, Simon and Keira Kyer; two grandchildren, Izabel Bashline and Aubrey Kyer; two sisters, Sandra M. (Bert) Gorby-Gower and Lynda Sullivan. Friends and family will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville where services will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville. Memorial contributions may be made to Church Alive.
