VanFossen, John R., 55 of Gun Club Road, St. Clairsville, Ohio died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born in Wheeling, WV on December 30, 1955 a son of Donald F. VanFossen and Patricia C. Losey VanFossen.
John was a Quality Control Inspector for Tri-State Machine in Wheeling, a 1974 Graduate of Union Local High School and was a member of the Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ocie and John R. "Bob" Bendure and maternal grandparents, Homer Losey and Oneita K. Losey Hinkle and his step mother, Janet VanFossen.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Gatten VanFossen; a daughter, Kristen (Jamie) Singer of Holloway; his father Donald F. VanFossen of Flushing; his mother, Patricia C. Losey Donley of Holloway; 3 step children, Michael (Melissa) Skonecy of Holloway, Timothy (Nauie) Skonecy of St. Clairsville and Crystal (James) Gallagher of Lafferty; a brother, Don (Tami) VanFossen, Jr. of Belmont; sisters, Carol (Jerry) Fulton of Centerville, Virginia VanFossen of St. Clairsville and Misty VanFossen of Holloway; step siblings, Ray Turner, Joy (Randy) Boyd and Jay (Lisa) Turner; six grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 until time of services at 8 p.m. with Brent Hopper officiating.
