August 13, 1992 – November 18, 2021
John Evan Timko, 29, of Bellaire, Ohio, died tragically of complications from Covid-19 on November 18, 2021 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
He was born August 13, 1992, in Wheeling, WV, a son of John and Linda Powell Timko.
In addition to his parents, John and Linda, Evan is survived by his loving wife, Gabrielle Smolenak Timko; unborn daughter, Baby J; kitty daughters, Ralphee, Groucho, Luna, and Twixie; brother, Eric Timko; mother and father-in-law, Kirk and Jennifer Smolenak; brother and sister-in-law, Shane and Megan Smolenak; special cousins, Carter, Cooper, Cameron and Cruz Gray; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Baden Timko, grandparents, Baden and Mary Lee Powell and William and Mary Jane Timko, and Baby Timko #1.
Evan was a 2011 St. Clairsville High School Graduate, and a Belmont College graduate with a Welding Degree. He was employed at Dominic Pietranton Construction, a social member of the Barton Volunteer Fire Dept., he was co-owner of Ideal Moto, LLC, and was the owner and founder of Lake View MX.
Evan's hobbies included: off road ATV racing, grease monkeying in the garage, watching supercross and motocross, supporting Carter Gray #698, hanging with the car guys, and the Upper Ohio Valley Car Scene. He was a former team MVP in hockey playing for the John Marshall High School Team playing in the PIHL; also playing for Wheeling Jesuit and in the WAHA League.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Rock Hill Presbyterian Church, 56224 High Ridge Road, Bellaire, Ohio on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Demarest officiating. Burial will follow in Rock Hill Cemetery, Bellaire.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the Wheeling Hospital ICU staff and CVICU Staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wesbanco-Evan Timko Medical Fund or the Barton VFD.
