John William "Yash" Talick, 79, formerly of Lansing, born April 10, 1937, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2016.
John was a local musician who played with various bands. He was recognized as one of the best drummers in the valley.
He is Survived by his loving daughter, Leslie Magnone (Mark) of St. Clairsville; his son, William Talik (Patti) of Bridgeport; three grandchildren that he loved with all his heart, Markie Magnone, Courtney Talik and Ashley Talik. Also surviving are his brother, Ed Talick (Tiny) of Georgia, along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Magdeline Talick; a brother, Theodore Talick and a sister, Freda Gallagher.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Wednesday, June 22nd from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 3 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in St. Clairsville with Father Edward Maxfield the celebrant. Interment will follow at Belmont County Memorial Park.
