John "Bud" Lewis Sneddon, Sr., 83, of Bethesda, OH passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at Barnesville Hospital. He was born February 16, 1940 in Wheeling, WV.  He was the son of the late John and Nora Culley Sneddon.

John was a retired office executive of the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation where he worked for 49 years.  He was a Catholic by faith.  John was a member of the St. Clairsville Ruritan Club and the Wheeling Board of Realtors, and proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Medic.

Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Shirley A. Myers Sneddon of Bethesda; his children, John L. (Shannon) Sneddon, Jr. of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Troy A. (Heather) Sneddon of Bethesda; grandchildren, Alyssa Yarborough, John L. Sneddon, III and Tayler Sneddon; one great granddaughter, Ansley Brae Yarborough; sisters, Margaret Joan Bourne of Ft. Myers, FL., Beth Ann (Walt) Haleski of Orlando, FL and Arlene (John) Guzik of Dunedin, FL

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4 pm until time of funeral services at 7 pm at Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville with Fr. Dan Heusel officiating.  Final arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.

The Belmont County Veterans Association will conduct full Military Honors at 7 pm.
