Sellers, John P. Jake, 77, of Flushing, Ohio died Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Cumberland Pointe Nursing Home.
He was born January 7, 1934 in Bellaire, Ohio son of the late Charles and Mary Sellers.
Jake was retired from Consolidation Coal Company. He served in the U.S. Navy; was a former member of Flushing American Legion and Flushing Lodge # 298 F. & A.M. He worked with Flushings Fireworks Shows for 18 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Paul Sellers.
Surviving are his wife, Gloria Sellers; three children, Pam (Bob) Siple of Cleveland, Ohio, Mark (Becky) Sellers of Virginia and Vickie (Scott) Porter of Flushing; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dean Lancaster officiating. Private burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Holly Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flushing Volunteer Fire Dept.
