Obituary

John S. Sabo, 85 of Young Lane, St. Clairsville died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at his home.

He was born August 23, 1920 in St. Clairsville, son of the late John Sabo and Emma Luko Sabo Kovach.

John was a retired employee of Pontiac Motor Co. in Pontiac, Michigan, a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, an Army veteran of WWII, member of VFW Post 5356 and American Legion Post 159 in St. Clairsville and DAV of Columbus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Holpp Sabo; two brothers, Alfred and Edmond Sabo.

Surviving are stepson, Gregory (Mary) Bowser of St. Clairsville; best friend "Sammi" Terry (Kevin) Fador of St. Clairsville; brother, Louis Sabo of Dunedin, Florida; half brother, Mike Kovach of St. Clairsville; 3 step grandchildren, Christine, Kimberly and Gregory, Jr.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 2 to 5 p.m. where services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Father Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.

Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 132 Peters Run Rd., Wheeling, WV 26003.

Military graveside services will be conducted by Belmont County Council of American Legions.
