Riddle, John L., 81 of Jacobsburg, Ohio died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Wheeling Hospital.

He was born at Youngstown, Ohio on July 17, 1928 a son of the late Norris "Bill" Riddle and Galdys Purtiman Riddle.

John was a retired electrical supervisor for the former Ohio Edison R. E. Burger Plant at Dilles Bottom and a former Ohio State Highway Patrolman. He was a member of the Jacobsburg United Methodist Church, a former member of the Smith Township Volunteer Fire Dept. and a Marine Corps veteran of World War II.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Dennis Riddle.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Beck Riddle; a brother Bill Riddle of Texas; grandchildren, Heather and Kevin Cornell of Huber Heights, Ohio, Robert and Robin Riddle of Dayton, Ohio and a great granddaughter, Jacqui Cornell.

At John?s request there will be no visitation. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Richard Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
