John R. Patton, 88, of Belmont, Ohio died April 10, 2020 at Astoria Place in Barnesville, Ohio.

He was born December 29, 1931 in Canton, Ohio, a son of the late Clarence S. and Nelly Rudge Patton.

John was retired contractor and President of Hillandale Home Builders. He was a member of the Church of Christ in St. Clairsville where he served as a Deacon.  He was a past board member of the Peoples Bank, a member of the National Home Builders Association and past President of the Mid-East Ohio Valley Home Builders Association.

Surviving are his loving wife Joy Elizabeth Fraley Patton, four children, Craig (Amy) Patton of Westerville, Ohio, Brad (Gloria) Patton of Belmont, Ohio, Cindy (Dr. Brady) Bisbocci of Belmont, Ohio and Kevin (Carrie) Patton of Columbus, Ohio, and four grandsons, John Logan Bisbocci, Geno Bisbocci, C.J. Patton and Wyatt Patton.

With the COVID-19 government recommendations, the family will have private services with Everett Hutson officiating at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, Ohio and burial in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.  The family will plan a public celebration of life to be held later.
