John A. Plamer, 77, of Martins Ferry, Ohio, died August 20, 2024, in Shadyside Care Center.

He was born July 8, 1947, a son of the late Charles David Palmer and Anna Josephine Lasko Palmer.

John was a retired employee of Elby's Restaurant and Goodwill. He enjoyed working crossword and jigsaw puzzles and building models.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Palmer; and four brothers, Robert, Charles, Richard and James Palmer.

John is survived by his three sisters, Margaret Mohney, Kathleen Burkhart, and Nancy Carrick; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Palmer; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio, on Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m., with Pastor Kris Bright officiating. The burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery.
