John Edward Orr, 69, of Barnesville, OH, died August 9, 2022, in Select Specialty Hospital in Wheeling.

He was born September 15, 1952, in Marietta Ohio, a son of the late Ralph D. Orr and Susanna Jacobs Orr.

John was retired from Gabby's Auto Salvage and a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marilyn McGlothlin and Joyce Kroll and a brother, Daniel Orr.

John is survived by his wife, Alice F. Betts Orr; three children, Jane (Marty) Lucas, Johnnie (Bob) Orr Gray and Jim Orr; three brothers, Bob Orr, Dave Orr and Ken Orr; a sister, Patty Ronevich; three grandchildren, Carson Lucas, Callie Lucas and Dixie Romine; and many nieces and nephews.

Honoring John's wishes there will be no public services. Private service held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville.
