Morgan, John Lewis, 79 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Heartland-Lansing Nursing Home in Bridgeport, Ohio.

He was born at Martins Ferry, Ohio on May 20, 1928 a son of the late Chester and Ruth Graybill Morgan .

John was a retired Sergeant First Class with the U.S. Army having served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a member of American Legion Post #227 at Bridgeport and VFW Post #5356 at St. Clairsville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Dague Coffield Morgan and a son John Kenneth Morgan.

John is survived by his daughter, Charlotta (Tim) Jones of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; a sister Coralyn (Ralph) Taylor of St. Clairsville and two granddaughters, Caitlin Morgan Jones and Taylor Elizabeth Jones.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for John on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville. Burial will be in the City Point National Cemetery, Hopewell, Virginia at the convenience of the family.
