Mihalic, John Richard Jr., 84, of Kagg Hill, St. Clairsville, died Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at his home. He was born October 28, 1926 in Maynard, Ohio, son of the late, John Richard Mihalic Sr. and Mary Agnes Kacsmar Mihalic.
John was a retired coal miner from Saginaw Mining Company. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Mihalic.
Surviving are his loving wife of 62 years, Dorothy Viola Jones Mihalic; a son, John Robert "Bob" (Sylvia) Mihalic of Hudson, Florida; two daughters, Janet (Jerry) Repan and Barbara (Rodger) Richards both of St. Clairsville; five grandchildren, David Repan, Dustin Repan, Kari Wensyel, Mistie Fitzgerald and Tony Felici; six great grandchildren, Tommy, Robert and Kiara Wensyel, Emma and Gabriel Fitzgerald; and a sister, Clara Kowalczyk of Citris Heights, California.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with a Vigil Service at 3 p.m. followed by Full Military Honor Services at 3:15 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Church in Maynard with Father Thomas Graven as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove.
