McKELVEY, John Kelly "Jake", 81, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, died Sunday, September 9, 2012 in Forest Hill Nursing Home.
He was born September 22, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia, son of the late George Crozier McKelvey and Martha Irene Jones McKelvey.
Jake was a retired electrician from the IBEW Local in Wheeling. He was a Presbyterian by faith; a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War and member of the American Legion Post 159.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Anne McFarland McKelvey; a sister, Martha Charlene McHenry; and a sister-in-law, Jayne Downs.
Surviving are his son, Patrick McKelvey; a sister-in-law, Lori McFarland Horvath of Shadyside; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Friday from 4 p.m. until time of services at 6 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, with Rev. Dr. Bradley Call officiating.
Full Military Honors will be conducted at 5:45 p.m. by Belmont County Council of American Legions.
