Jadus, John William Jay, 69 of St. Clairsville, Ohio died peacefully at home after a 4 year battle with brain cancer on Friday, May 27, 2011.
He was born in Bellaire, Ohio on December 19, 1941 a son of the late William Bill Jadus and Anne Reisberger Jadus.
Jay was a retired millwright from the former Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Follansbee Coke Plant, a member of the First Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville, Shadyside Lodge #724 Free & Accepted Masons and an Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine L. Miller Jadus; his daughters, Jennifer (Jason) Baker of Deland, Fl and Amy (Matthew) Norman of St. Clairsville; a sister, Janet (Tom) Schaefer of Bellaire and grandchildren, Daniel, Alison and Kate Baker; Anna and Grace Norman.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville, Ohio on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. with Masonic services at 7:30 p.m. and at the First Presbyterian Church, St. Clairsville on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to time of services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Homer Harden officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mausoleum at Holly Memorial Gardens in Pleasant Grove.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, S. Marietta St. & Woodrow Ave., St. Clairsville, OH 43950.
