John David Craig, 70, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at his home.

He was born in Barnesville on March 19, 1937, a son of the late Alan and Frances Carpenter Craig.

John was a retired Vice President of the former Belmont National Bank in St. Clairsville. He was an Army veteran. He was a member and former Elder and Trustee of Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville; a member of Barb?s Boys; a member of St. Clairsville Lions Club; and a member of Friendship Lodge # 89 F. & A.M. at Barnesville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

John is survived by his wife, Judith Lewis Craig; two sons, David Alan (Michelle) Craig of Bethesda, Ohio and Joe (Vicki) Craig of Marysville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Lucas (Sherawna) Beadling, Vanessa Beadling, Jordan Beadling, Sarah and Kyle Craig; a great grandchild, Kiamara; two sisters, Jean (Jack) Phelps of London, Kentucky and Mary (Jim) Clark of Cheyenne, Wyoming; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville. Visitation will also be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville, with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Morristown.
