John Joseph Burdyn, 54, of Bellaire, Ohio died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at his home.
He was born in Wheeling, West Virginia on September 28, 1952, a son of Philomena Stephan Burdyn and the late Joseph Burdyn.
John was an employee of Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel. He was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph.
Surviving are his wife, Cathy Campbell; his mother, Philomena Burdyn; five children, Melissa Burdyn of Youngstown, Ohio, Allison (Aaron) Gaebelein of Columbus, Ohio, Caroline Burdyn of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Jo Burdyn of the home and Phillip Burdyn of the home; four grandchildren, Andre, Asa, Abram and Zoe; and three sisters, Rosemary Burdyn, Kari Urban and Elizabeth Marling.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday from 1 to 3 and 5 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating.
