John Frank Budinscak, 90, of St. Clairsville, Ohio died August 26, 2019 in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born December 12, 1928 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late John and Cristina Sebecic Budinscak.

John was a retired safety director from Allied Chemical and LCP Chemicals. He was a medic in the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. John Graduated from West Virginia University obtained a Pre-Med Degree and later graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Law Degree and later attended West Liberty University. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in St. Clairsville; a founding member of Belmont Mountaineer Athletic Club; the American Legion Post 159; a member of the Saints Club; the Sigma Nu Fraternity and was a former president of NORMAC.  He also served as an advisor for Junior Achievement and was responsible for St. C. Minstrels for many years.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Karen Budinscak Adams; and two sisters, Mary Budinscak and Mary Stiglich.

Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Doris Ann Burskey Budinscak; a son, John "Buck" (Kathy) Budinscak Jr. of Wadsworth, OH; four grandchildren, Zach (Chelsea) Budinscak, Lisa Budinscak, Cory Budinscak and Emily (Craig) Adams Gosney; and three great grandchildren, Cohen, Charlie and Josephine.

Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 5 p.m.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clairsville, with Father Thomas Chillog as celebrant.  Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.

Memorial contributions may be made to the BMAC Upper Ohio Valley Endowed Athletic Scholarship.
