John J. Boich, 76 of High Street Extension, St. Clairsville died Monday, July 25, 2005 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling.

He was born at Fairpoint, Ohio on October 20, 1928 a son of the late Milan and Hazel Hepner Boich.

John was a retired high school principal and teacher at Loudonville and Newcomerstown, Ohio. He was a member of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association, Licking Lodge #291 F.& A.M. at Utica, Ohio, the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Booze Boich and a sister, Veda Hackett.

He is survived by a son, John M. Boich of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Karen S. Gallaugher of Westerville, Ohio; sisters Myrtle Donda and Alice Cecil both of St. Clairsville; Jessie Swanek of Cleveland and a granddaughter, Chelsea Gallaugher.

Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
