Joseph Henry Shinoski, 88, of St. Clairsville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in Wheeling Hospital. He was born July 22, 1938, in Fairpoint, Ohio, a son of the late Joe Stanley and Anna Salek Shinoski.

Joe was a retired die setter for Clevite, Inc. He was a member of the Fairpoint Polish Club, Adena American Legion Post 525, Bridgeport Foresters Club, Maynard PNA, and was a United States Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his seven siblings.

Joe is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Matusek Shinoski; two children, Joseph H. (Jackie) Shinoski Jr., and Jodi L. (Mark) McFarland; five grandchildren, Chelsea (Dustin) Walls, Angela (Jared) Stock, James (Trista) Mohney, Matt (Abby) McFarland and Madison (James Dobbs) McFarland; and numerous great-grandchildren.

As per Joe’s wishes, no visitation or funeral services are planned. Private burial in Linwood Cemetery will occur at the convenience of the family.
