Obituary

Joseph Alvin "Joe" Fleming, 65 of Pineview 1A Group Home in Belmont, Ohio died Friday, December 26, 2008.

He was born March 1, 1943 in Columbus, Ohio, a son of Clara Margaret Struck Fleming and the late Charles Alvin Fleming.

Joe was previously employed at Belco Crafts Workshop in St. Clairsville.

He was a very expressive, caring person and had particular people that he preferred to work with. He enjoyed letting others know exactly how he felt. Joe liked to tease others to see their reaction and enjoyed it most when he was teased right back. He had a special way of asking you to "come here" and when you took a phone call, that was often the time he decided he had something to tell you. He liked to flirt with the ladies and would pat their hands and blow kisses to his favorites. Classic country music was his favorite, and when he enjoyed it, so did everyone around him.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are four brothers, Delmar, William, Charles, and Roger; several nieces and nephews.

Joe will be sadly missed by his family, house-mates and caregivers.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon with Rev. Jerry Wenger officiating.

A committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Zanesville, Ohio.
