Joe Debo, 87 of Provident, Ohio died Saturday, June 16, 2007 at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry.
He was born at St. Clairsville on February 1, 1920 a son of the late Frank and Agnes Debo.
Joe was a retired coal miner from Consolidation Coal?s Franklin #25 mine, a member of the United Mine Workers of American and American Legion Post #159 at St. Clairsville. He served in the U.S. Army?s 28th division in Germany during World War II.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers John, Frank, Fred and Lewis Debo; sisters Ann Kosco and Agnes Doty and sister-in-law, Alice Slevin.
He is survived by his wife, Marian J. Orkis Debo; sisters, Mary Brown and Elda Borovich both of St. Clairsville; brother?s-in-law Joe Orkis of Pataskala, Ohio and Walter Orkis of St. Clairsville and sister-in-law, Nancy Kimmell of St. Clairsville.
Friends will be received at the Toothman Funeral Home, St. Clairsville on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. where services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Father Christopher Foxhoven officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
