Jody Lynn Mellott, 55, of Pipe Creek, Ohio died Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Liza's Place in Wheeling, WV.

He was born July 21, 1963 in Bellaire, Ohio, a son of Harley D. Mellott and Linda J. Mayhugh Mellott.

Jody was an employee of Shadyside's Jefferson Avenue School and a Protestant.

Surviving in addition to his parents of Pipe Creek are three brothers, David W. (Lynda) Mellott, Jeffrey D. Mellott, and his twin, James E. Mellott all of Pipe Creek; a sister, Rhonda L. (Keith) Tennant of Powhatan Point, Ohio; several nieces and nephews including, Jessica Adams, Brandi Jarrett, Jeffrey Mellott, Jr., Christa Mellott, and Misty Gonglik; several aunts and uncles.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in Jacobsburg, Ohio on Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Coker, Jr. officiating.

Burial follows in Powhatan Cemetery.

It was Jody's request that everyone attending wear casual clothing, preferably blue jeans and their favorite sports team t-shirt.
